The localName property returns the local part of the name of a node.

Syntax

nodeObject.localName


Example

The following code fragment loads "books.xml" into xmlDoc using loadXMLDoc() and returns the local name of the <title> elements:

x=xmlDoc.getElementsByTagName('title');
