JavaScript setUTCMonth() Method
JavaScript Date Object
Definition and Usage
The setUTCMonth() method sets the month (from 0 to 11), according to universal time.
Note: January is 0, February is 1, and so on.
Note: This method is always used in conjunction with a Date object.
Syntax
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| month | Required. An integer between 0 and 11 representing the month |
| day | Optional. An integer between 1 and 31 representing the day |
Browser Support
The setUTCMonth() method is supported in all major browsers.
Tips and Notes
Tip: The Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) is the time set by the World Time Standard.
Examples
Example 1
Set the UTC month to 0 (January):
var d = new Date();
d.setUTCMonth(0);
document.write(d);
</script>
