Definition and Usage

The mysql_thread_id() function returns the current thread ID.

This function returns the thread ID on success, or FALSE failure.

Syntax

mysql_thread_id(connection)

Parameter Description
connection Optional. Specifies the MySQL connection. If not specified, the last connection opened by mysql_connect() or mysql_pconnect() is used.

Tips and Notes

Note: Each MySQL connection has a different thread ID.
