The bgcolor attribute is supported in all major browsers.
Definition and Usage
The bgcolor attribute of <body> is deprecated in HTML 4.01.
The bgcolor attribute specifies the background color of a document.
Compatibility Notes
The bgcolor attribute of <body> is not supported in HTML 4.01 Strict / XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD.
Use CSS instead.
