The parentNode property returns the parent node of the specified element.
Syntax
Example
The following code fragment loads "books.xml"
into xmlDoc using
loadXMLDoc() and gets the parent node from the first
<title> element in "books.xml":

x=xmlDoc.getElementsByTagName("title")[0];
