Definition and Usage
The deleteData() method deletes data from a text node.
Syntax
deleteData(start,length)
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| start | Required. Specifies where to begin removing characters. Start value starts at zero |
| length | Required. Specifies how many characters to delete |
Example
The following code fragment loads "books.xml" into xmlDoc using loadXMLDoc() and deletes some characters from the text node of the first <title> element:
