Definition and Usage
The whiteSpace property sets how to handle line breaks and white-space in a
text.
Syntax
Object.style.whiteSpace=normal|nowrap|pre
|
Possible Values
| Value |
Description |
| normal |
Default. Lines of text break automatically when it
exceeds the width of the containing element |
| nowrap |
Do not let the text wrap (no line breaks are allowed) |
| pre |
Line breaks and other whitespace are preserved |
Example
The following example does not allow line breaks in the text:
