Definition and Usage

The prefix property sets or returns the namespace prefix of a node.

Returns null if the the specified node does not have a namespace.

The prefix property is an XML property, and is not indended to be used in HTML documents.

Syntax

Set the namespace prefix:

node.prefix=prefix

Return the namespace prefix:

node.prefix
