The MySQL ORDER BY Keyword
The ORDER BY keyword is used to sort the result-set in ascending or
descending order.
The ORDER BY keyword sorts the records in ascending order
(ASC) by default.
Example
Sort the products from lowest to highest price:
SELECT * FROM Products
ORDER BY Price;

ORDER BY DESC
To sort the records in descending order, use the DESC keyword.
Example
Sort the products from highest to lowest price:

ORDER BY Price DESC;

ORDER BY Example
The following SQL selects all customers from the "Customers" table, sorted by the "Country" column:

The following SQL selects all customers from the "Customers" table, and sorts it descending by the "Country" column:
ORDER BY Several Columns
The following SQL selects all customers from the "Customers" table, sorted by the "Country" and the "CustomerName" column. This means that it sorts it first by Country, and if some records have the same Country, it sorts them by CustomerName:
