Definition and Usage

The <th> width attribute is not supported in HTML5. Use CSS instead.

The width attribute of <th> is deprecated in HTML 4.01.

The width attribute specifies the width of a table header cell.

Normally, a cell takes up the space it needs to display the content. The width attribute is used to set a predefined width of a cell.
