CSS inset-block-start Property

Definition and Usage
inset-block-start property sets the distance between the start of an element and the parent element in the block direction.
Note: For this property to take effect it has to have the
position property specified.
inset-block properties are very similar to CSS properties
right, but the
inset-inline properties are dependent on block and line directions.
Note: The related CSS property
writing-mode define block direction. This affects where the start and end of a block is and the result of the
inset-block-start property. For pages in English, block direction is downward and inline direction is left to right.

writing-mode property value of a <div> element set to vertical-rl, the block direction is right to left. The result is that the start of the element is moved from top to right side:
