HTML Table Header Cells
HTML Table Header Cells
Table header cells are defined with <th> elements.
Each <th> element represents a table header cell.
By default, the text in header cells are bold and centered.

HTML tables can have headers for each column or each row, or for many columns/rows.

Vertical Table Headers
To set the first column as table header cells, define the first cell in each row as a
<th> element:

Align Text in Header Cells
By default, the text in header cells are bold and centered:

To left-align the text in header cells, use the CSS text-align property:
Header Cell that Spans Multiple Columns
You can have a header cell that spans over two or more columns.

| Eve | Jackson | 94 |
To do this, use the colspan attribute on the
<th> element:

Table Caption
You can add a caption that serves as a heading for the entire table.

To add a caption to a table, use the <caption> tag:
