Text to Speech
Type or paste text and have your browser read it aloud. Choose a voice and adjust speed, pitch, and volume. Everything runs locally - the text is not sent to any server by this page.
Runs entirely in your browser.

Available voices depend on your operating system and browser. If the list is empty, your browser may not support speech synthesis.
About Text to Speech
This tool uses the Web Speech API (speechSynthesis), which is built into modern browsers. The voices come from your operating system or browser, which is why the selection differs between Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS - some voices are natural-sounding neural voices, others are simpler. The rate, pitch, and volume controls are applied per utterance.
One honest limitation: browsers do not provide a way to save the synthesized speech as an audio file directly. If you need a recording, play the speech and capture it with a system audio recorder or a screen recorder that includes system sound.
Long texts are split into sentences and spoken one at a time. This makes progress visible, and it also works around a quirk in some browsers where very long single utterances are cut off mid-way.
