Definition and Usage

The setUTCMilliseconds() method is used to set the milliseconds of a specified time according to Universal Coordinated Time (UTC).

Syntax

dateObject.setUTCMilliseconds(millisec)

Parameter Description
millisec Required. A numeric value between 0 and 999 representing the milliseconds


Tips and Notes

Note: If the parameter above is specified with a one-digit or two-digit number, JavaScript adds one or two leading zeros in the result.

Note: This method is always used in conjunction with a Date object.

Tip: The Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) is the time set by the World Time Standard.

Example

Set the milliseconds of the current time to 192, with setUTCMilliseconds():
