Definition and Usage

The accept property sets or returns a comma-separated list of accepted content types.

Syntax

Set the accept property:

fileuploadObject.accept="content-type,content-type,..."

Return the accept property:

fileuploadObject.accept


Browser Support

Internet Explorer Firefox Opera Google Chrome Safari

The accept property is supported in all major browsers! However, only Firefox, Opera, and Chrome are filtering out the proper file types when browsing the files.
