Definition and Usage

The name property sets or returns the name of a text area.

Syntax

Set the name property:

textareaObject.name="text"

Return the name property:

textareaObject.name

Tip: There is no default value for the name property.

Value	Description
text	Specifies the name of the textarea

The name property is supported in all major browsers.

Alert the name of the text area:
