Definition and Usage

The rows property sets or returns the height (in rows) of a text area.

Syntax

Set the rows property:

textareaObject.rows=number

Return the rows property:

textareaObject.rows

Tip: There is no default value for the rows property.

Value Description
number Specifies the visible number of rows in the text area

The rows property is supported in all major browsers.
