Template Filter - truncatewords_html


Example

Make sure the text is no longer than 3 words:

<p>{{ mytext|truncatewords_html:3 }}</p>

Definition and Usage

The truncatewords_html filter truncate the value if it is longer than the specified number of words.

The truncatewords_html filter will not count any HTML tags, but closes tags that are being started but not ended.

If a value gets truncated, the value will add three dots (...) at the end of the string.

Syntax

{{ value|truncatewords_html:number }}

Template filters are defined by using a pipe | character followed by the name of the filter.

Arguments are defined by using a colon : character followed by the argument value.
